Ultra-processed food consumption in Argentina according to income level and its association with the intake of healthy foods

What is the diet of Argentines like? Does it vary by income level? This study answers these questions and found that the diet of its population is that of a low- and middle-income country, where UPF intake increases with income, and concomitantly competes with the intake of healthy foods. However, what happens when we take a closer look at the profiles? Low-income groups consume, on average, fewer healthier foods compared to higher income populations.
